Sound System Measurement (English)

This one day seminar will teach you how to use 2-Channel-FFT measurement systems (e.g. SysTune, Smaart, ...) to verify, optimize and align professional sound systems.

Topics covered

  • Use and background of 2-Channel-FFT-Analyzers
  • Measurement and interpretation of amplitude, phase and group delay
  • Use of impulse response to determinate speaker polarity and align delay speakers and other subsystems/fills
  • Measurements of electronic devices like mixing desks and controllers
  • Time/Phase alignment techniques to adjusts Tops to Subwoofers and Mains to Sub-Systems
  • Windowing techniques
  • Measurement and equalizing of Systems

Target Audience

Addressed are sound engineers, system technicians, audio planners, installers, system integrators, ... in short: all those who would like to get into measurement technology or update their knowledge of measurements in the field of sound reinforcement and specifically build up and consolidate their background knowledge. Thanks to the well thought-out, unique course concept, beginners as well as experienced practitioners benefit equally.

Hosts wanted

The seminar will be held in English and is sold as a complete package for resellers only. If you are interested to host, please send me an e-mail (info@zehner.ch) to get all the details.

"I attended several of Markus' courses. They all have in common that complex situations are declared at an easy way. After those courses you can make the connection between theory and praxis better than before. A warm recommendation for everyone who takes his job in the field of acoustics seriously."

"Many of our software users have benefited greatly from attending Markus Zehner's training courses and continue to report on this positive experience even after many years. In the acoustics and audio industry, his seminars are to be regarded as one of the few opportunities for high-quality practical further training."
